Gamla Linköping — Old Linköping
Old Linköping is composed of about 90 buildings, all of which moved to Old Linköping from the city and vicinity of Linköping. Here the visitor can see a number of interesting museums and several professional craftsmen. In the historic Old Town a variety of "homes of Linköping" can be experienced - some of which remain virtually untouched in the old home style, as if the people living there just went out temporarily! Next to Old Linköping is "Valla", a forest reserve where the Gotland sheep graze. On Valla Gård (farm) is a series of interesting museums, such as Odalmannen Museum, Östergötland Railway Museum, Trolley Museum and the Technical Museum of works.

In 2003, the wreckage was discovered at the bottom of the Baltic Sea, and found its final resting place in this museum in May, 2009. "Expecting the Worst - Sweden during the Cold War" tells of the Cold War and how it affected Sweden, its policies and citizens.

Bus excursion Omberg — Vadstena
Guided bus tour where we travelled along the highway towards a truly unique place of culture, nature and history.
Rökstenen: "The Rök Stone" is one of Sweden's most interesting rune stones. A man called Varin erected it in honour of his dead son's memory in the 9th century. The stone stands beside Rök's Church on the plains of the province of Östergötland. Its complicated web of stories continues to baffle scholars to this day.
Alvastra Abbey Ruins: Here we find the ruins of the Nordic regions first Cistercian monastery. Saint Bridget of Sweden received her first revelations at Alvastra, attracting celebrities from across Europe to participate in the Christian life.
Omberg: Omberg is one of Sweden's most popular natural recreation areas. Here the visitor is at the highest mountain in this part of Sweden, enjoying the fantastic view of the plains and of lake Vättern, the second largest lake of Sweden and the sixth largest of Europe.
Vadstena: The medieval town of Vadstena offers a number of attractions and memories of historical importance and interest. Lake Vättern's clean, blue water and beautiful natural surroundings greet the visitor, who meets both religious and profane history. The inner town of Vadstena has keept its medieval street system and almost every house here is a sight of interest in itself. Very few settings are so well preserved and few towns offer so much history so easily accessible.
